This is a two-week, pre-college engineering summer programme for ambitious high-school students aged 16-18 hosted by Best Parents at Cambridge (with elements referencing Cambridge & Oxford colleges). The course delivers approximately 30 hours of academic sessions, hands-on modules and a personal project (essay or presentation) with tutor feedback and a final assessment.
Core activities include university-level engineering content, independent research, problem-solving workshops and a mentor programme.
Sample modules cover Electrical Engineering (circuits, sensors, building a radio receiver), Mechanical Engineering (kinematics, dynamics, design of earthquake-resistant structures), Materials Engineering (nanoscience, testing new materials) and an applied "Engineering a Solution" module where students work in pairs to design and present prototypes. The programme includes a full social activities schedule, two coach excursions (Oxford and an optional London trip), two formal dining evenings and pastoral support throughout.
A graduation ceremony and certificate are provided on completion.

Boarding includes 13 nights in a Cambridge or Oxford college, breakfast and dinner daily (lunch included for ages 13-15), academic sessions and social programme. Heathrow shared transfers available at £180 each way. Pocket money recommended ~£80 per week.
