Join interactive walks, short talks and workshops around Cardiff and its parks, exploring how research can change the way you see familiar places. Pick one session or several, with themes from screen culture to memory and autobiography.
A free public event featuring talks, guided walks and workshops that explore the city and our place within it. Cardiff University draws on research across the arts, humanities and social sciences to invite participants to think differently about walking, place and everyday experience.
The programme includes interactive walks and short talks in and around Cardiff and its parks, with themes ranging from screen culture and Victorian urbanism to digital mobility, weather, memory and autobiography. Participants can choose one or multiple sessions from the programme, making it easy to build a personalised day.
The event is designed to be welcoming and accessible to all, with activities suitable for all ages. It offers an engaging way to discover familiar places anew, reflect on the city’s stories, and leave with fresh ideas about walking, expression and the environment.
