Hear panel speakers share personal experiences and reflections on what strengthens communities, then join questions and discussion. Explore a community marketplace and try the creative crafting station, where you can leave with something you have made.
Cardiff University and the Students’ Union are hosting a Black History Month panel discussion centred on this year’s theme, “Honouring Our Communities”. The event is designed as an engaging lunchtime gathering that brings together students, staff, and members of the public to reflect on the stories, people, and values that help shape and strengthen communities.
Alongside the panel, attendees can visit a community marketplace featuring organisations and university teams, including Culture Connect Wales, Report and Support, and the Race Equality Charter Mark Team. There will also be a creative crafting station, giving visitors a chance to take part in an interactive activity and leave with something they have made.
The panel speakers will share personal experiences and reflections, followed by questions and discussion, making this a thoughtful and participatory event for anyone interested in community, culture, and anti-racism.
