Prize: Award of a Sixth Form scholarship (academic, art, drama, music or sport).

St Catherine's School offers Sixth Form scholarships across five categories: Academic, Art, Drama, Music and Sport. Academic scholarships are awarded on the basis of results in three written papers which normally relate to the applicant's A level choices.

Art scholarships require a strong, tailored portfolio (including sketchbooks and final outcomes) appropriate to the chosen medium. Drama applicants are expected to engage in extra-curricular drama and ideally be taking GCSE Drama; those studying drama outside school should provide a teacher reference and LAMDA students may supply evidence of their current grade.

Music applicants should be at least Grade 7 standard on one instrument, provide original exam certificates (including Grade 5 theory) and prepare two contrasting pieces for audition. Sports scholarships require performance at county or regional standard with written evidence of achievement.

The Sixth Form scholarship process takes place in November of Year 11; applicants will be informed of outcomes by the end of the Autumn term. Drama applicants will undertake an audition and interview with the Head of Drama and should bring a memorised monologue with a copy for the panel.
