Lancaster University
Celebration of Science 2026 is a one-day festival of talks, panels, interactive exhibits and competitions run by Lancaster University's Faculty of Science & Technology. The main event takes place in George Fox on 25 March 2026 and features a keynote from Dr Lucy Rogers MBE, student poster and speed-talk competitions, departmental stands and interactive exhibits showcasing research across engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, psychology and computing.
The programme includes a PhD poster competition (open to FST PhD students) with poster printing provided and prizes for winners, a student speed-talk competition, panel sessions on topics such as planetary repair and future technologies, and a researcher career development (RCaD) session with micro-talks for research staff. Catering is provided and free lunch is available by registration; accessibility and dietary requirements can be submitted during registration.
An evening public lecture at The Gregson Centre on 25 March 2026 features Dr Lucy Rogers in a 75-minute session (interview, stories and Q&A). Several activities require sign-up by specific deadlines (poster submissions and RCaD micro-talk entries); please check the event pages and forms for submission details.
