Step into a policy adviser role and test which interventions could tackle market failures. Make predictions about what might work, then compare your ideas with real-world regulation and experiments in an interactive online session with an economics academic. Slides will be shared where available.
This live, interactive Economics session is hosted by Channel Talent and features Dr Amrish Patel, Associate Professor in the School of Economics at the University of East Anglia. The session explores realistic interventions for market failures, looking at how governments, businesses and the third sector respond to economic problems in practice.
Participants take on the role of a policy advisor and consider what kinds of interventions might work, make predictions, and compare their ideas with real-world regulation and experiments. The session is designed for pre-university students with an interest in Economics and related subjects, and teachers and school staff are also welcome.
It is delivered online via Zoom and is not recorded, although slides will be shared where available.
