This is a 15-month Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship with Stonehouse (Malt Shovel) operated by Mitchells & Butlers in Birmingham. You will work as a full-time member of a busy kitchen team, learning to prepare and cook menu items to brand standards, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support service under the supervision of experienced chefs.
The role involves shift work including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
The apprenticeship combines on- and off-the-job training, with workshops, webinars and regular reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Trainer. Apprentices will receive a mixture of face-to-face and remote training catch-ups (every 4-6 weeks), feedback sessions, and functional skills support in English and Maths if required.
The programme includes 30 paid work hours per week and leads to the Production Chef Level 2 standard.
