Chef Apprenticeship at Green Man (Mitchells & Butlers)

Join Mitchells & Butlers as a Production Chef apprentice at the Green Man in Cambridge. This paid apprenticeship combines hands-on kitchen work with structured training: you will prepare and cook menu items to business standards, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and follow recipes and brand standards while working as part of a busy team.

The role is shift-based and typically involves evenings, weekends and bank holidays for around 30 hours per week.

You will train with Lifetime Training Group Limited and work towards a Level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship over approximately 15 months. Training includes a mix of on- and off-the-job learning (workshops, webinars, and regular reviews every 12 weeks), plus Functional Skills in English and Maths if you do not already hold GCSEs or equivalents.

Course content covers food preparation and cooking techniques, stock control, hygiene and safety, allergen management, time management and teamwork.
