Develop your culinary skills and take the next step in your career as a Chef de Partie at Montigo Resorts Somerset. This Level 3 apprenticeship combines on-the-job training in a professional hotel kitchen with off-the-job study delivered by Yeovil College.

You will gain a nationally recognised Level 3 Chef de Partie qualification and experience working in a luxury boutique hotel environment.

On a typical week you will work 40 hours on a shift basis (including weekdays, evenings, weekends and some bank holidays) and be responsible for a specific kitchen section. Tasks include preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard, overseeing commis chefs, managing stock rotation and maintaining food safety standards.

Training includes one day per week off-the-job with Yeovil College and covers advanced cooking techniques, section management, leadership and menu development.

The apprenticeship starts Monday 1 December 2025 at Montigo Resorts Somerset, Charlton House, Charlton Road, Shepton Mallet, Somerset BA4 4PR. Completing this apprenticeship can lead to progression into senior roles such as Sous Chef or specialist sections within high-end hospitality.

You'll Earn

£15,704 per year

Pay & Benefits

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices. As well as earning while they learn, Chef de Partie apprentices will enjoy benefits including a share of the service charge from food and beverage sales.
