Join Cavendish Nuclear within Babcock International on a 4-year Degree Apprenticeship in Chemical and Process Engineering, combining on-the-job learning with university study. You will work on engineering projects in nuclear power generation, decommissioning and defence, applying chemical engineering principles to real-world challenges and developing technical, problem-solving and communication skills.
You will be based at one of the company hubs (Dalton Avenue, Warrington; Babcock Technology Centre, Bristol; or Humberside) and study remotely with Teesside University on the Science Industry Process and Plant Engineer (degree) standard. The programme is delivered via blended learning with weekly live seminars, and on successful completion you will receive a BEng in Professional Engineering alongside an apprenticeship certificate.
Applicants must meet the stated GCSE and A-level grade requirements and be able to obtain BPSS and Security Check (SC) vetting. The role is a full-time apprenticeship (35 hours/week) with a structured training schedule, clear routes into junior engineering roles on completion, and support towards Chartered Engineer status through IChemE-accredited training.
