Immerse Education's Chemistry Online Research Programme is a year-round, remote research course for students aged 13-18. Each participant is matched with an experienced academic tutor for one-to-one or small-group tuition and is guided to design and complete an independent, university-level chemistry research project.
The programme emphasises critical thinking, academic writing, referencing, and presentation skills, with opportunities for top students to present at the Immerse Online Symposium or pursue publication in a recognised high-school research journal. Delivery is flexible and global: courses are available online throughout the year and offer tailored mentorship from tutors with university-level expertise.
Programme options range from a 10-hour Classic ORP to 15-hour accredited variants (including publication-focused and country-accredited tracks). On completion students receive a certificate of achievement, and certain accredited options offer a formal qualification and an allocation of UCAS points (not guaranteed for all participants).
Families can enrol via the Immerse Education website and may book a complimentary consultation to discuss the best programme option for a student.
Certificate of achievement on completion; some accredited courses provide a qualification recognised by universities and a stated qualification worth 8 UCAS points (where accreditation applies).
