The University of Sheffield Chemistry subject talk is part of the university’s open day subject talk programme for prospective undergraduates. It gives visitors a chance to learn more about the Chemistry course area and what studying chemistry at Sheffield involves, with talks taking place in the Dainton Building Lecture Theatre 1.
There are two Chemistry sessions listed for the day, and each is designed to help prospective students explore the course in more detail before booking their visit. The page also notes that optional 30-minute tours of the chemistry teaching facilities are available throughout the day on a first-come, first-served basis, giving attendees a chance to see the facilities and equipment used for teaching.

- Prospective undergraduate visitors can book places for themselves and up to one additional guest.
- Booked visitors are seated first; any remaining seats may then be offered to unbooked visitors.
