Childcare Apprenticeship - Level 3 Early Years Educator (LE)

This Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship places you in a nursery setting working alongside experienced staff to provide care and learning activities for children from birth to 5 years. You will carry out tasks such as preparing resources and food, supporting children’s learning and development, observing and planning, maintaining health and hygiene standards, and following safeguarding procedures.

The role is based at 40 Foxton Road, Hamilton, Leicester (LE5 1AY) and there is 1 position available. The average working week is 30-40 hours, Monday to Friday, with shifts to be confirmed. The apprenticeship starts on 19 November 2025 and runs for approximately 1 year and 1 month.

You will study remotely with the training provider SWIFT ACI to gain the Early Years Educator (Level 3) qualification. Training includes weekly online remote sessions (via Teams) for the first eight weeks, regular tutor support and visits to your setting, and completion of Level 3 Paediatric First Aid.

Most learning is on-the-job combined with off-the-job training to build professional knowledge and practical skills.

Essential entry requirements include GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4. Key skills sought are communication, organisation, problem solving, teamwork, creativity and initiative. On completion you may progress to Level 3 practitioner roles, room leader positions, management training, or further study such as primary education or paediatric nursing, with the potential for a permanent position at the nursery.
