Childcare Apprenticeship at Penrhyn Pre-School

Work on the job in a childcare setting supporting children aged 0-5 while training towards an Early Years Educator (Level 3) qualification. The apprenticeship is 14 months long and includes both workplace learning and scheduled online classroom-based training with a dedicated assessor and mentor.

You will work an average 30 hours per week (Monday-Friday, shifts to be confirmed) carrying out duties such as creating safe, engaging environments, teaching within the EYFS framework, supporting self-care and development, communicating with parents and colleagues, and contributing to Ofsted requirements. Training includes paediatric first aid and a range of safeguarding, health and safety, and child development topics.

Training provider SWIFT ACI will deliver the classroom elements (one day per week for the first eight weeks online), with most training taking place in the workplace. The role is paid (£11,778 in the first year) and could lead to Level 3 practitioner roles, room leader positions, management training or routes into primary education and paediatric nursing on completion.
