As a Face to Face Adviser with Citizens Advice Lancashire West, you will support people who need help with everyday problems such as benefits, debt, employment and housing. Advisers talk to clients over the phone, face-to-face and online, helping them understand their options and take practical next steps.
The role is based at Wyre Citizens Advice in Fleetwood Market, with a Friday location in Garstang.
Volunteers are supported and supervised as they learn, with feedback and development opportunities throughout their time with Citizens Advice. The role helps you build communication, listening, problem-solving and digital skills, while working with a wide range of people independently and as part of a team.
Training is provided, volunteer induction is included, and expenses are reimbursed.
Location
- Suitable for under 18s
- DBS check required
- Available for at least one day a week
- Able to volunteer for approximately six hours minimum per week, either one full day or two half days, for at least six months
- Complete the training programme, either by attending the 8 week group training programme or by completing the self-study online training, or a combination of both
