This Level 2 Commis Chef apprenticeship at Montigo Resorts (Charlton House) combines on-the-job training in a professional hotel kitchen with structured delivery from Yeovil College. Apprentices will learn core cookery skills, food preparation, hygiene and safety procedures, portioning and plating, and will rotate through kitchen sections to gain a broad skill set.
The role is full-time (40 hours per week) on a shift basis across weekdays, evenings, weekends and some bank holidays (typical shifts falling between 07:00 and 22:00). Training includes one day per week attending Yeovil College and covers nationally recognised Commis Chef apprenticeship standard content (Level 2).
Start date: Monday 17 November 2025. Wage: £15,704 for the first year (may increase with age) and a share of service charge; benefits include free staff meals, free gym and spa access, and discounted food and drink when off shift.
