Want to level up your music skills and boost your GCSEs? Join Okehampton Music Centre to learn instruments, build confidence and creativity, connect with peers and tutors, and prepare for GCSE or onward music study—gain practical skills and performance experience.

Okehampton Music Centre is a music-learning initiative run by Community Links South West CIC for children and young people. It aims to encourage participation in music from an early age through to age 18, helping learners build confidence, creativity, and self-esteem while developing a love of music that can last a lifetime.

The centre offers three routes: a Junior Music Centre for ages 3 to 7, a Senior Music Centre for ages 7 to 18, and GCSE music lessons plus an introductory music studies class for home educated children. Activities include learning to play instruments, singing, music-making, and having fun in a supportive environment.

New beginner classes open each September, with registration starting at an open session in the preceding summer term. Drop-in taster sessions are also offered during the summer term, and families can join a waiting list or enquire about joining at other points in the year.
