Join HandsOn London and Taskforce for Nature for a BrightenUp London community volunteering session at Holland Park. Volunteers help maintain a biodiverse, healthy green space through seasonal tasks such as planting, removing invasive species, and building dead-hedges.
The event is drop-in and welcoming to newcomers and regular volunteers alike. The session runs 10:30-15:00 with an introductions and safety briefing, morning tasks, a lunch break, and afternoon tasks. If it is your first time, check in with the team leader for a safety briefing.
Bring long-sleeved clothing, sturdy footwear, a packed lunch or use the park cafe, and a bottle of water. Phone signal can be poor; the group meets in the wildlife area (entrance via the wooden double gates).
Families are welcome; younger volunteers (11-17) must be accompanied by a responsible adult. HandsOn London aims to be inclusive; volunteers with accessibility or medical concerns should contact the organisers in advance.
