The Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Summer School at University College London is a two-week pre-college programme for 15-18 year-olds run on UCL's Bloomsbury campus. The course provides a dynamic introduction to programming, data analysis, machine learning and robotics through a mix of academic study, practical coding sessions and problem-solving challenges.
Ethical and societal implications of technology are embedded across the curriculum and students are introduced to potential career paths and specialisations in the technology sector. Students receive 60 hours of academic input across two weeks (approximately 45 classes), with a class size of 12 students.
The programme includes guest lectures and masterclasses from university academics and industry experts, hands-on projects and capstone presentations. Participants also take part in industry visits, faculty-related visits and university visits to support university preparation and career insight.
Boarding participants stay in single ensuite rooms on UCL's Bloomsbury campus with full board provided; day participants attend academic sessions without accommodation. The programme includes supervised excursions (e.
g. , Oxford/Cambridge visit, Brighton), mentorship, career-focused sessions and one-to-one support. Minimum English level required: B2+.

Program options: Day programme £3,700 (per 2-week session) or Boarding programme £5,985 (per 2-week session) as listed. Airport transfers are not included (£150 each way). Booking requires a deposit and completion of an enrolment form; remaining balance is payable before travel.
