Computer Science for Teens at Cambridge University is a two-week, expert-led summer programme for 13-15 year olds designed to introduce young students to coding, problem-solving and software development. Small classes (maximum of eight students) provide personalised tuition in programming languages such as Python and Java, plus practical sessions on writing and debugging code, user-interface design and collaborative projects.
The course combines morning academic lessons and directed study with afternoon enrichment, 21st Century Skills masterclasses and supervised excursions. Residential options place students in Cambridge colleges (Fitzwilliam, Murray Edwards, Gonville & Caius) with full-board meals included; day-student (non-residential) options follow a full daytime schedule with parents/guardians responsible for drop-off and pick-up.
Each student receives tutor feedback, a certificate of achievement and a personalised letter of recommendation. Additional features include structured reflection and goal-tracking, teamwork masterclasses, airport transfers from London Heathrow on official arrival/departure days (included in programme price), and a programme of cultural excursions to complement the academic curriculum.
