Want to level up your AI skills this summer? Join UniHive’s two-week Cambridge programme to study deep learning with Cambridge professors, build a supervised research project, sharpen academic writing and research skills, and connect with peers and academics to boost your uni or career prospects.

UniHive Education's Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence Advanced Research Programme is a two-week, in-person academic summer programme delivered in Cambridge and led by Cambridge professors (lead: Prof. Pietro Liò).

The programme combines interactive lectures, small-group supervisions, research skill sessions, academic-writing workshops, master talks and dedicated project supervision. Participants study core and advanced deep learning topics, analyse key research papers, and receive hands-on guidance to prepare a minimum 2000-word research proposal and a final group presentation.

The programme is designed for high-achieving high-school students aged 16-18 who wish to extend their research interests under leading scholars. Contact time includes lectures and supervisions (45+ hours total), research lectures (12 hours), workshops, and project supervision.

Assessment comprises a research proposal and a 15-minute group presentation; top performers may receive recommendation letters from Cambridge faculty and opportunities to submit research to conference proceedings.

Participants live in University of Cambridge college accommodation (13 nights), take part in cultural and social activities including excursions to London and Oxford, and receive a Certificate of Attendance and other programme documentation (report card, recommendation letters for top 50%). Completion awards 8 UCAS points to support university applications.
