Want to design next-level lingerie? Join a one-day, hands-on workshop with The Creative Dimension Trust and De Montfort University to explore contour garment design, pattern making and prototype development - build a prototype, gain specialist skills and connect with industry experts.

This one-day hands-on workshop, delivered by The Creative Dimension Trust in partnership with De Montfort University, introduces participants to contour garment creation with a focus on bras and intimates. Attendees will explore prototype progression driven by personal design concepts and work across a variety of mediums to produce final pieces.

Expert instructors guide participants through fundamentals of design, pattern making and construction relevant to this specialised field.

Throughout the day participants will engage in practical activities to explore the relationship between form and function, developing skills that support creativity and craftsmanship. The session aims to nurture participants' vision and confidence to bring dynamic ideas to life while offering insight into related careers.

The workshop runs at Cockpit Arts, Bloomsbury on Wednesday 1 April 2026, starting at 10:00 and finishing at approximately 16:30. Places are limited (12-15 spaces). The programme is fully funded by sponsors and applicants should apply via the online form on the workshop page.

  • Be creative and have an interest in related career areas (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, Fine Art, Jewellery Making, Art Conservation, Glass Working, Theatre Design, Fashion Design, Costume Design).
  • Have good hand-eye coordination.
  • Demonstrate a passion for working with your hands in the application.
  • Must be able to attend every day of the workshop.
