University Centre St Helens’ Criminal Justice Webinar Series brings together leading researchers and recent authors with FdA Criminal Justice students and the wider public to discuss contemporary theory and practice in criminal justice. The series features academic presenters and practitioners who draw on research, lived experience, and frontline practice to explore topics shaping the sector today.
Session One, titled ‘Mate, you gone legit? ’ - Tension and loss in status and desistance, takes place on 16 June 2026 from 12:30-13:30 BST. Speakers for this session are Andrew (Andi) Brierley (Senior Lecturer in Criminology, Investigation and Policing, Leeds Trinity University) and Max Dennehy (PhD student, University of Strathclyde), hosted by Stephanie Young Adika (Lecturer in Criminal Justice).
