This intensive summer course at the University of Michigan introduces high-school students to criminal behavior theories, profiling techniques and real-world applications used in criminology and forensic psychology. Students aged 14-18 take part in classroom sessions, case-study analyses and hands-on profiling exercises, culminating in a capstone project (a psychological thriller or true-crime podcast) that applies course theories and considers ethical issues.
The program includes small interactive classes, field trips tied to course themes and instructor feedback. Residential and day options are available. Residential participants receive housing, meals and supervised campus life; all participants receive a detailed performance report, and those in credit-bearing classes receive guidance on requesting university transcripts.
