This two-week CSI: Forensic Science program at Georgetown University's Summer Institute gives high-school students hands-on experience in crime scene investigation and forensic analysis. Participants practice evidence integrity, chain-of-custody procedures, scene diagramming, sketching and photography, and basic forensic analysis of fingerprints, fibers and other physical evidence.
The course includes lab work, guest speakers, and case studies to build analytical and critical-thinking skills. Students may choose residential (boarding) or day options and will work in small, interactive classes using Georgetown's campus facilities.
Enrolled students earn a Course Completion Certificate and-if enrolled in credit-bearing classes-an official Georgetown transcript and grade report. The program emphasizes portfolio-building documentation and instructor feedback to support future academic or career pathways in criminology, forensic science, or related fields.
International participants receive visa support documentation and optional airport transfers; an international registration fee (non-refundable) applies. Parents and students should complete the Summer Institute application, pay the deposit, and follow enrolment instructions to confirm booking.
