This is a Customer Service Specialist Level 3 apprenticeship at Columbus McKinnon Corporation Limited based at Knutsford Way, Sealand Industrial Estate, Chester (CH1 4NZ). The role involves working with the sales team to provide proactive customer support across email, phone and chat channels, managing inbound sales calls, following up on quotations and deliveries, and using CRM data to identify improvements and customer needs.

You will spend most of your time on the job (37 hours per week) with protected training time delivered by the training provider, Juniper Training Limited.

The apprenticeship starts on Wednesday 12 November 2025 and lasts approximately 1 year 2 months. Typical working hours are Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00 (30 minute unpaid lunch) and Friday 08:30-13:30. Successful completion leads to the Customer Service Specialist (level 3) qualification and the employer says full-time permanent employment will be offered to the right candidate.

  • Five GCSEs including Maths and English
  • Previous experience in a customer service role (1-2 years)
  • Relevant NVQ or sales qualification is an advantage

  • Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel) and CRM experience (Salesforce in use)
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Willingness to continue to train and learn
