Dartmouth Summer Scholars (Dartmouth College)
Apply NowWant to train like a college athlete? Join Dartmouth Peak Performance to explore human health, sports psychology and hands-on training, access elite facilities, build leadership and performance skills, and boost your uni and athletic prospects in two intensive summer weeks.
This is a two-week pre-college summer programme held at Dartmouth College designed for high school students (ages 14–17) interested in human health, sports psychology, performance training and leadership. The Peak Performance curriculum combines classroom learning with hands-on experiential activities — including access to athletic training facilities, weight rooms, field trips, and team-building activities — to prepare students for collegiate-level athletics and academic challenges.
Students engage in leadership development, practical sessions on mental performance techniques, and field experiences (e. g. , visual performance lab, kayaking, ropes courses).
The programme culminates in a final project where each student leads a small group applying learned performance and team-building skills. Instructors include Ashley Weingartz and Jackson Penfield, and classes emphasise small-group interaction, instructor feedback, and actionable performance protocols.
Logistics include residential and day options, supervised housing with roommate matching, three meals per day for residential participants, campus safety and 24/7 supervision, and optional airport shuttles. International students receive visa support, arrival assistance, and international medical insurance as part of the international programme fee.
Participants receive a branded Course Completion Certificate and a Letter of Recognition upon finishing the programme.
