Free if you qualify.
The Davidson Young Scholars program provides academic, social, and emotional support for profoundly gifted children and their families. The program is free for qualifying students (ages 5-18) and offers a range of services including personalized support sessions, an online member community, expert-led webinars, virtual events, annual family events, and an Ambassador Program that guides students in developing community service projects.
Residential summer programs are offered for Young Scholars ages 8-13 (these specific summer offerings are noted as fee-based). Members can access a private online community with discussion forums and directories, attend live virtual events with Davidson staff and external experts, and participate in family-oriented programming to support gifted parenting and social-emotional needs.
Applications are submitted online through Davidson's digital application system and are reviewed on a rolling schedule during the January-November application cycle. Required application components include a testing report, family demographic information, a recommender form, and signed Parent Agreement Form(s).
Decisions are communicated two weeks after each application cycle due date. For questions or assistance with the application, applicants may contact ysapplications@davidsongifted. org.
