5 Day Latin Summer School 2026

This is an intensive 5-day GCSE Latin course aimed at students preparing for the GCSE (or equivalent). The programme focuses on language skills and grammatical rigour, helping students to tighten and refine their understanding of Latin syntax and translation techniques.

Sessions are delivered by highly qualified classicists who are experienced teachers and seek to make Latin accessible through disciplined study combined with engaging activities. By the end of the course students will be better able to recognise and translate core syntactical constructions, and apply these skills to GCSE unseen passages.

The course runs from Monday 27th July through to Friday 31st July 2026. Applicants who have completed 1-3 years of Latin study and who have just finished Year 10 (preparing to sit GCSEs in June 2027) are the intended participants.
