This is a three-year Level 6 (degree) apprenticeship with Siemens Mobility, combining paid on-the-job training with study through London South Bank University. Apprentices will spend most of their time working on real projects, gaining hands-on experience capturing requirements, designing, testing and maintaining signalling control systems, and developing software and networking skills relevant to modern rail systems.
The programme includes specialist training and block-release sessions with the training provider and follows the ST0496 Rail and Rail Systems Senior Engineer standard (Signalling and Control Systems pathway). Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00 (40 hours per week).
The role is based at Unit E4, 17 Langley Park Way, Chippenham, Wiltshire (SN15 1GG).
