Want to build the software powering trains? Join Siemens Mobility’s Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship: earn while you learn over four years, study on day-release, work on real manufacturing projects, and build skills that boost your career or university prospects.

Join Siemens Mobility as a Degree Apprentice in Software Manufacturing Engineering (Level 6) and earn while you learn on a four-year programme that includes an end-point assessment. You will follow the ST0119 Digital & Technology Solutions Professional apprenticeship standard, combine virtual day-release study with hands-on work, and contribute to real projects within the Manufacturing Engineering team supporting rail infrastructure.

In this role you will work on migrating infrastructure to Industry 4. 0 standards, plan and implement efficiency and reliability improvements across equipment and processes, and research new manufacturing technologies and software approaches.

You will also ensure software complies with Siemens protocols and cyber security requirements while maintaining production processes to meet delivery and safety-critical objectives.

The programme includes a personalised apprentice development plan, collaborative team work, and opportunities to develop leadership and problem-solving skills. It is aimed at candidates with A-levels or equivalent Level 3 engineering qualifications who want a route into a professional engineering career without following the traditional full-time university route.
