This is a Level 6 Degree Civil Engineering Apprenticeship with Taylor Woodrow. You'll spend most of your time working on construction projects and gaining hands-on experience in major earthworks, drainage, structures (under-bridges, over-bridges, viaducts) and energy sector projects.
The apprenticeship includes day-release to Nottingham Trent University to study for a BSc Civil Engineering and leads to professional membership qualifications. Typical on-the-job activities include assisting in site control, integrating design information, planning and setting up work sites, monitoring and controlling contract works, preparing material orders and maintaining records.
The apprenticeship runs for five years, starts on 1 September 2026 and is full-time (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00-17:00). The role is based on construction sites with day-release study at university; available locations include Hay Hall Business Park, Redfern Road, Birmingham (B11 2BE) and Silkstone House, Pioneer Close, Wath upon Dearne, South Yorkshire (S63 7JZ).
Salary is listed at £22,600 per year with benefits including pension contributions, employee discounts, holiday entitlement and paid volunteering days. Applicants must meet the essential qualifications listed and hold a UK clean driving licence where required.
