Dental Nurse Apprentice — RNSN LIMITED

This is an 18-month government-funded Dental Nurse apprenticeship with RNSN LIMITED based in Maida Vale, London. The role combines workplace learning at a dental practice with off-the-job training delivered by Temp Dent Dental Agency Limited and leads to a City & Guilds Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing (Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3).

Daily duties include chair-side support to clinicians, sterilising equipment, reception tasks, dealing with patient queries, taking payments and booking appointments. Apprentices study professional knowledge and skills through blended interactive e-learning and specialist training.

The apprenticeship includes learning clinical skills (dental charting, radiograph processing, infection control), patient communication and safeguarding, emergency management, and professional record keeping. Expected working hours are around 30 hours per week with specified shift patterns including occasional Saturdays.

Applicants must hold GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 (or equivalent), be immunised against Hepatitis B, and pass a DBS check. On completion, apprentices can progress to roles such as team leader, practice manager or pursue further clinical training (e.
