Spend a week at a London law firm exploring commercial law through interactive workshops, practical skills sessions and networking with lawyers, solicitor apprentices and trainees. Hear from clients about how law supports businesses, charities and other organisations. Develop communication, teamwork, initiative and problem-solving skills.

Closes 30 March 2027

Dentons Social Mobility Programme is a week-long in-person programme for students from less advantaged backgrounds who want to explore a career in commercial law. It is designed to give participants practical insight into what commercial lawyers do, how a large law firm operates and the different routes into the profession, while helping them build confidence in a professional environment.

Across the week, students take part in interactive workshops, practical skills sessions and networking opportunities with lawyers, solicitor apprentices and trainees at different stages of their careers. They also hear from Dentons clients, giving them a clearer picture of how commercial law supports businesses, charities and other organisations.

The programme focuses on helping participants develop communication, teamwork, initiative and problem-solving skills, alongside a broader understanding of the legal sector.

The programme takes place in person at Dentons’ London office. Confirmed participants may receive up to £50 towards travel costs, although accommodation is not provided.
