This is a two-week, on-campus summer programme held at Dartmouth College designed for high-school students interested in design thinking, business and leadership. Participants engage in project-based learning focused on decision-making, leadership dynamics and business blueprinting, with guest speakers (for example Lori Taylor) and experiential activities such as a cooking competition-style entrepreneurial field trip.
The course aims to build communication skills, entrepreneurial confidence and collaborative problem-solving, and awards a branded course completion certificate and a letter of recognition. The programme provides a structured residential schedule with morning and afternoon classes, supervised activities and evening programming.
Tuition includes housing, three meals per day, on-campus activities and transportation for included events. International students receive visa support, pre-arrival assistance, international medical insurance and help with airport transfers as part of the international registration package (additional non-refundable fees apply).
Applicants should complete the Summer Institute application (including thoughtful short-answer responses) and meet the recommended academic profile. Practical information about travel, shuttle services, packing lists and campus safety/supervision is provided to enrolled students prior to arrival.
