Destination STEM runs a free national online mentoring scheme that connects school students with trained and experienced STEM professionals. The programme is delivered through a secure online messaging system so mentees can explore life after school, including routes into jobs, university, apprenticeships and workplace placements.
Mentors help with topics such as job and university applications, identifying potential STEM careers, and preparing for employment. The scheme is open to students aged 13-19 across the UK and is delivered in partnership with The Brightside Trust.
The page invites students who missed the current cycle to sign up for the next mentoring cycle, noting it starts "on the 9th of February. " The service is national and online, so no travel is required for participants.
Information for parents and carers is provided (a downloadable information leaflet is linked on the page) to explain how students can benefit from a mentor and what to expect from the programme.
Free to join. Delivered as a national online mentoring scheme in partnership with The Brightside Trust.
