This is a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Digital and Technology Solutions delivered by University Centre Weston in partnership with awarding bodies. The programme covers cyber security, software and web development, data management and related topics across four specialist pathways (Network Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Cyber Security Analyst).

Apprentices combine workplace employment with day-release study at UCW, e-learning and employer-led projects.

The course is typically delivered over four years with a one-day-per-week attendance model at UCW’s Knightstone/Winter Gardens campus alongside on-the-job training. Modules include lectures, seminars, skills practice, presentations, case studies and group workshops.

Apprentices will complete work-based projects tailored to employer needs, developing practical technical and professional skills relevant to digital roles.

On successful completion apprentices receive a Level 6 BSc (Hons) degree (validated by UWE Bristol). The programme includes access to UCW student support services and facilities. Employers can fund the training via the Apprenticeship Levy or by direct payment; non-levy employers may pay a small contribution.
