Book a 30-minute one-to-one session with Aunty Social Director and careers adviser Louise Ashcroft for tailored advice on careers in craft. Louise has extensive careers guidance experience (Connexions, Blackpool School of Arts) and holds a PGCE and Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification.
These sessions are designed for young people who want to study crafts (for example fashion, textiles, ceramics, printing) at college or university or who are preparing to enter the workforce. You can get advice on choosing GCSEs or A Levels, receive help with UCAS personal statements, review and improve your CV, and learn about local creative and craft-based courses and opportunities.
The sessions also cover practical support such as finding work experience and identifying financial support for study. The event is part of the Discover Creative Careers programme (supported by Crafts Council) and is delivered in person at Aunty Social in Blackpool.
