Discussing Decolonisation 2025/26 Summer Finale is a one-day hybrid event organised by York St John University that explores migrant justice, border abolition, and the colonial histories underpinning contemporary migration and surveillance regimes. The programme (10:00-16:30 BST) includes a livestreamed keynote by Dr Monish Bhatia (University of York), a hybrid panel featuring postgraduate and early-career researchers, and a plenary discussion with local community organisers and scholar-activists.
The day also includes a film screening and opportunities for audience Q&A and discussion. The event is free and open to all, with refreshments provided for in-person participants.
