The Doctor Insight Day is a one-day interactive masterclass for students aged 15
18 who want to explore a career in medicine. Delivered either in-person (University College London) or live online, the programme combines clinical simulations, practical exercises and admissions coaching.
Participants review X-rays and ECGs, take part in a virtual A&E simulation, and learn hands-on skills such as suturing (or equivalent online diagnosis exercises for virtual attendees).
The day also includes focused medical school admissions support: guidance on UCAS personal statements, UCAT preparation, and interview technique with coaching and mock interview demonstrations led by practising doctors. Students will hear from a panel of clinicians across specialties and take part in Q&A sessions to understand the realities of medical careers.
The programme is suitable for beginners and requires no prior experience. After completion, students can take an online assessment and receive a personalised certificate that can be used in university or medicine applications.
