Welcome customers, handle tills and cash, and sort, price and display donated items in busy hospice shops while completing your volunteer hours. Build practical retail experience as you support a local hospice.

Keech Hospice’s retail shops offer a volunteering option for young people working towards their Duke of Edinburgh award. It is a practical way to complete volunteer hours while gaining experience in a busy retail environment and supporting a local hospice.

Volunteers help with the day-to-day running of the shops, including welcoming customers, till work and cash handling, and sorting, pricing and displaying donated items. The role combines useful retail experience with the chance to give back to the local community.
