Dukes Plus Dentistry Summer School

Dukes Plus Dentistry Summer School is a hands-on summer programme for students aged 15–18 who want to explore a career in dentistry. Based in London and hosted at University College London (UCL), it offers an immersive introduction to the profession through seminars, practical activities, and guided exposure to a real dental setting.

Participants learn from experienced dental professionals and take part in realistic surgery simulations, including drilling, suturing, taking impressions, interpreting x-rays, and practising patient consultations. The programme also includes a visit to a dental practice, plus personalised career coaching and advice on applying to dental school and university.

Students can choose a 1–2 week option, with teaching delivered across a substantial programme schedule each week. On completion, there is the option to gain a UCAS-accredited qualification, supporting future university or dental school applications.
