Spend two weeks studying law, politics, literature and history in an Oxford college setting. Build skills in analysing arguments, evaluating evidence and writing persuasively, then work with other students on a humanities research project and present your findings clearly.
Future Scholars: Humanities is a two-week pre-university summer school in Oxford for students aged 15 to 17. It is designed for ambitious young people who want to explore humanities subjects in a university-style environment while building the academic skills needed for further study.
The programme focuses on law, politics, literature, and history. Students learn how to analyse arguments, evaluate evidence, take effective lecture notes, write persuasively, and develop stronger research and presentation skills.
They also work with other students on a humanities research project, weighing different viewpoints and presenting their findings clearly.
Alongside the academic experience, students live and study in an Oxford college setting, giving them a taste of university life. They can choose a day or residential option, with the residential package including accommodation, meals, activities, excursions, and pastoral support.
The programme also includes cultural experiences in Oxford and the chance to meet students from around the world.
