Early Years Apprentice

Join Crescent Pre School Ltd as an Early Years Apprentice and train while working directly with young children in a preschool setting in Eastleigh. You will support planning and delivering activities, act as a key worker for a small group of children, carry out care routines (washing, feeding, nappy changing), observe and record development, and help safeguard children’s welfare.

The role is term-time (38 weeks) and paid at £9,127. 95 for the first year (pro rata).

The apprenticeship combines on-the-job learning with formal training delivered by SHOWCASE TRAINING LTD. You will study for the NCFE/CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner and complete Functional Skills in maths and English unless exempt.

Training includes work-based visits, 4 hours study time for coursework, and covered topics such as child development, safeguarding, infection control, communication, planning activities, and supporting early language and numeracy skills.

This position is 23. 25 paid hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts to be confirmed. The apprenticeship starts on 10 November 2025.

Successful completion may lead to progression onto a Level 3 qualification or a full-time position; candidates already holding a valid Level 2 may be considered for Level 3 (18-month) delivery.
