Playdays (Wolverhampton) Ltd is recruiting an Early Years Apprentice to join their nursery team. Most of the role is workplace-based: you will support children’s learning and development by observing, planning and delivering activities, providing a safe and nurturing environment, liaising with parents/carers and professionals, and following the setting’s policies and procedures.
Working hours are 27 hours per week (usually Tuesday-Thursday with some additional days as required); working hours will be confirmed at interview.
The apprenticeship includes time away from work for specialist training delivered by STAFF SELECT LTD and leads to an Early Years Educator (Level 3) qualification. Training includes an online portfolio, monthly coach visits, functional skills (if required) and a paediatric first aid qualification.
The programme covers safeguarding, health & safety, planning and assessment, inclusion and supporting children with SEND or EAL.
Wage for the first year is £10,600. 20 (then may increase depending on age) and the role has the potential for full-time employment on successful completion. The vacancy starts on Monday 17 November 2025 and runs for approximately 1 year 2 months.
