Early Years Apprentice Practitioner

This is a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship at Silks Farm (part of Grandir UK) based in Somersham. As an apprentice you'll work as part of the nursery team to provide high-quality childcare, support children’s development and wellbeing, and follow safeguarding procedures.

The role is full-time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with a start date of Monday 8 December 2025.

On the job you will carry out day-to-day care tasks such as supporting play, reading stories, helping at mealtimes, nappy changing and promoting early language and numeracy. You will learn to identify risks, support children through transitions, implement care routines, and communicate with parents and other professionals.

Training is provided by REALISE LEARNING AND EMPLOYMENT LIMITED; you will complete the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, the Level 2 qualification and any required functional skills in maths and English. An enhanced DBS check is required.
