Early Years Practitioner Apprentice

Millmead Children's Centre is recruiting a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice to work at Millmead Early Years Centre in Margate. The role involves delivering high-quality childcare and early education, identifying individual children’s needs and planning activities, preparing play-based learning environments, and maintaining safeguarding and health & safety standards.

You will learn on the job for most of the apprenticeship (37 hours 30 minutes per week, Monday-Friday) combined with off-the-job training delivered by EKC Group toward the Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification. Key duties include observing and recording children’s development, working as part of a team, liaising with parents/carers, leading activities and displays, and undertaking ongoing professional development.

Successful completion can lead to potential full-time employment and progression to a Level 4 qualification. The employer is a community centre providing integrated childcare, family support and partner services including NHS and Age UK Thanet.
