Help organise and control stock in a busy hospice warehouse, working alongside the team and supporting retail activity. Build hands-on experience in customer service, with training, insurance and expenses covered; shifts take place only when the warehouse manager is on site.

Volunteer in the East Lancashire Hospice warehouse, supporting the day-to-day running of the stock area under the supervision and direction of the warehouse manager. The role involves helping to keep stock organised and controlled, with tasks that may include practical handling and general warehouse support.

It is a hands-on opportunity suited to someone who is comfortable working in a busy, team-based environment.

The role also links to the hospice’s retail activity, so volunteers should enjoy customer service and be ready to work alongside others. Good communication is important, and the organisation is looking for people who can help with lifting heavy items.

PAT testing experience is desirable, but not essential.

This volunteering opportunity is suitable for under 18s and includes ongoing support, training, insurance cover, and reimbursement of expenses. Shifts are only available when the manager is on site. It is a good fit for people interested in retail, supporting charities, and gaining experience in employment, education, and training.
