Recommend Oxford Summer Courses' residential programme - small tutorials, masterclasses and skills workshops where they explore markets, behavioural ideas, build debating, teamwork and critical thinking, and connect with peers on campus.
Oxford Summer Courses' Economics programme is a residential academic course for students aged 13-015. Through tutorials and small-group seminars (typically no more than eight students), participants explore core economic concepts such as supply and demand, market structures and government intervention, with introductions to areas like behavioural economics.
Lessons are supported by masterclasses and skills workshops designed to build teamwork, debating and reflection skills. Students live on-campus in University of Oxford colleges (including Lady Margaret Hall, New College, Somerville College and Worcester College) and benefit from supervised study sessions, social activities and day trips.
The course provides around 20 hours of tutor contact time for 13+ students, plus additional supervised sessions and end-of-course reflection to review learning and personal goals. Practical arrangements are included: accommodation, meals, programmed visits, airport transfers for UK courses (conditions apply), and health and travel insurance.
At the end of the course students receive a certificate and a letter of recommendation. International attendees require a UK visitor visa; the provider can supply a supporting letter on payment of the balance.
