Immerse Education’s Economics Online Research Programme is a year-round, pre-university online course that guides motivated secondary-school students through university-level economic research. Participants work with expert academic tutors (often from top universities) in either one-to-one or small-group formats to develop subject knowledge, analytical skills and independent research techniques.
Students design and complete an independent research project, producing a final written report suitable for university applications or a CV. Top-performing students may receive a Letter of Recommendation from their tutor, opportunities to present at the Immerse Online Symposium, and for Publication Research Programme participants, coaching aimed at publishing work in a recognised high-school research journal.
Programme options vary in length and intensity (Classic ORP: 10 hours over 2 weeks; Publication and accredited options: 15 hours plus additional coaching). Courses are delivered remotely and are available to students worldwide, with accredited routes offering recognised qualifications and UCAS point claims where applicable.
Certificate of achievement; for accredited courses a qualification worth 8 UCAS points (where applicable)
